Final Report of the Human Studies Review Board Meeting on June 11, 2014

EPA requested that the Human Studies Review Board (HSRB) provide scientific and ethics reviews of three pre-Rule publications relating to oral ingestion of iodine. For each of these reports, the Agency charged the Board with specific scientific and ethics charges. These questions and the issue of the return of individual research results to study participants were discussed in the Board’s meeting held on June 11, 2014. The Board’s key responses to the charge questions are summarized in this letter and are detailed in the enclosed final meeting report.
