Human Studies Review Board
The Human Studies Review Board (HSRB) is a federal advosry committee that operates in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), 5 U.S.C. App 2 § 9. The HSRB is required by 40 CFR Part 26 to review and comment on all proposed and completed third-party research (i.e. ., research that is not conducted or sponsored by the Federal government) involving intentional human subject exposure that is subject to the coverage of EPA’s regulations (see subparts K-L).
