EPA Responds to Recommendations for the 2015 Ozone Standards - San Antonio, TX

On March 19, 2018 , EPA responded to Texas’ recommendation for designating whether the San Antonio, TX area meets the national ambient air quality standards for ozone set in 2015.  After considering the state’s recommendation as well as other relevant technical information, EPA intends to designate the San Antonio area counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Guadalupe, Kendall, Medina, and Wilson as attainment/unclassifiable, and intends to modify Texas’s recommendation of attainment for Bexar County. EPA intends to designate all or portions of Bexar County as, at best, unclassifiable. EPA will consider additional information submitted by Texas before completing designations for this area by July 17, 2018.
