Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs)

Method TO-4A: Determination of Pesticides and Polychlorinated Biphenyls in Ambient Air Using High Volume Polyurethane Foam (PUF) Sampling Followed by Gas Chromatographic/Multi-Detector Detection (GC/MD)

This Method, TO-4A, was prepared for publication in the Compendium of Methods for the Determination of Toxic Organic Compounds in Ambient Air, Second Edition.

This document describes a method for sampling and analysis of a variety of common pesticides and for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in ambient air. The procedure is based on the adsorption of chemicals from ambient air on polyurethane foam (PUF) using a high volume sampler.
