Public Notice for Chemical Waste Management

Chemical Waste Management, Inc. (CWM) has applied to the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency for renewal of their Approval for Commercial Storage, Processing and Landfill Disposal of Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCBs) and PCB Items under Section 6(e)(1) of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), 15 U.S.C. 2605(E) and title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) section 761.65 (d). The PCB regulatory program is not delegable to states and the management and enforcement of the program is currently under the exclusive authority of the EPA.

Persons wishing to comment on the EPA's decision to issue the proposed TSCA PCB Approval must submit comments by email to Peter Johnson at johnson.peter@epa.gov or phone at 404-562-8459 during the public comment period, beginning August 13, 2020 and ending September 12, 2020. The EPA will finalize its decision after review of and response to received comments.
