  • The nine label types that require EPA review include submissions involving:
    • new active ingredients and new uses;
    • technical grade and manufacturing–use products;
    • new products containing existing active ingredients;
    • amendments;
    • fast track;
    • me–too registrations;
    • products for which efficacy data must be submitted; 
    • special local needs; and
    • experimental use permits.
  • The three label types that do not require EPA review include submissions involving:
    • supplemental distributor;
    • minimum risk pesticide exemptions; and
    • notification or non-notification.
