Pesticide Worker Safety

Worker Protection Standard Materials

All requirements of the revised Agricultural Worker Protection Standard (WPS) are now in effect. Pesticide safety training materials with the expanded content required by the 2015 WPS must be used to train workers and handlers. EPA-approved training materials for national use are available on the Pesticide Educational Resources Collaborative website.

The importance of agricultural owners and operators knowing and implementing the WPS is vital to the long-term success of this standard. Information on pesticide safety must be accessible and displayed for workers during their working hours. In an effort to increase accessibility, EPA has developed new WPS posters in multiple languages. Employers are encouraged to print and distribute the new EPA WPS poster and brochure.

Note: 8x12 WPS posters can be printed on 8x11 paper by selecting “fit” under “page sizing and handling” in the Print menu.
