FDA to Hold Webinar on Leafy Green Action Plan, Agricultural Water Treatment

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will hold a webinar on the 2020 Leafy Greens STEC Action Plan on Thursday, July 30th, from 2-3 p.m. Eastern. (STEC refers to Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.) The webinar will include discussion of a new EPA-approved protocol for evaluating the efficacy of antimicrobial pesticides against microorganisms in agricultural irrigation water.

FDA and EPA jointly developed the protocol. EPA staff will be on the call to answer questions on the protocol.
