Application Submission and Screening

Applications for pesticide registration include many components. The Pesticide Registration Manual provides the details of the contents for various types of registration actions.

When we receive an application, we quickly evaluate it against a checklist to determine if the basic components are present. If they are not, we give the applicant a chance to provide the missing information within the 21 days. If the application is not complete at the end of the 21-day review, we may reject it.

Following the 21-day content screen, we check to make sure the application is ready for detailed review. This review is called the 45/90 Preliminary Technical Screen.

If we reject the application due to an incomplete application, the fee reduction and refund formulas will be applied.
