Radiation Protection

When should I choose a value for the LBGR?

Choose a preliminary value of the LBGR before remediation and a final value of the LBGR as the Final Status Survey design is completed. There are a number of factors that determine the final value of the LBGR. In some cases, you may want to remediate to concentrations sufficiently below the DCGLW, so you can demonstrate the survey unit meets the release criterion.
