When a PWS fails to monitor for for a fecal indicator like E. coli bacteria within 24 hours when there is a total coliform bacteria positive sample result in the distribution system, it must issue a public notice to inform the consumers of its water of that failure to monitor. Public water systems in Wyoming and on EPA Region 8 Tribal Lands can use this template as a guide to prepare that public notice.
