Characterizing Soils for Hazardous Waste Site Assessment

The Regional Superfund Ground Water Forum is a group of ground-water scientists representing EPA’s Regional Offices, organized
to exchange up-to-date information related to ground-water remediation at hazardous waste sites. Soil characterization at hazardous waste sites is an issue identified by the forum as a concern of CERCLA decisionmakers. To address this issue, this paper was prepared.
