The Citizen's Guide series is a set of 22 fact sheets that summarizes cleanup methods used at Superfund and other sites. This guide details the remediation approach known as "capping." Capping involves placing a cover over contaminated material such as landfill waste or contaminated soil. Such covers are called "caps."
