A Citizen's Guide to Fracturing for Site Cleanup

The Citizen's Guide series is a set of 22 fact sheets that summarizes cleanup methods used at Superfund and other sites. This guide examines the use of fracturing for cleaning up contaminated sites. Fracturing creates or enlarges openings in bedrock or dense soil, such as clay, to help soil and groundwater cleanup methods work better.
