Remediation System Evaluation, Risdon Corporation Site in Danbury, Connecticut

The Risdon Manufacturing Corporation facility, located in Danbury, Connecticut at the intersection of Old Newtown Road and Newtown Road, manufactures cosmetic containers. On-site practices historically included electroplating, chromating, acid/solvent stripping, degreasing, buffing, polishing, lacquering, hot stamping, silk screening, and assembly. The facility began operation in 1956, and some of these practices still continue after a number of facility modifications have been implemented.
