City of Asheville, NC: Solar Project Progress

Step 1: In this City Council Resolution (#18-279), Asheville, NC commits to transition to 100% renewable energy for municipal operations by December 2030. The City also resolves to develop a renewable energy implementation plan by December 2019 and allocates funds for such a plan. This is an example of Step 1 in the Local Government Solar Project Portal.

Step 2: In this City Council Resolution (#18-164), Asheville, NC resolves to work with Buncombe County to fund a joint Request for Proposals (RFP) for renewable energy planning services. This innovative agreement will help the City and County jointly develop a renewable energy implementation plan by December 2019. This is an example of progress toward Step 2 in the Local Government Solar Project Portal.
