Los Angeles downtown smogSTAR grantee, Dr. Xin-Zhong Liang from University of Maryland, is presenting his recent research results to EPA’s Office of Research and Development. His presentation, Development and Application of an Integrated Modeling System for U.S. Air Quality Assessment, will highlight his work on development and application of Earth system modeling framework and tools to investigate the impact of global changes on air quality. Dr. Liang is the recipient of several STAR grants to improve regional climate models and investigate impact of global changes on air and water. Recently, Dr. Liang was awarded a STAR grant entitled Particulate Matter Prediction and Source Attribution for U.S. Air Quality Management in a Changing World.
