Description

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) presents the 2017 September webinar on Making the Most of Existing Data in Air Pollution Epidemiology. This webinar highlights the results and experiences of air pollution epidemiologists funded through a Science to Achieve Results (STAR) RFA that explored new air pollution-related health effects links using only existing data sets. The advantages, downsides, risks, and expectations associated with analyses that were limited to existing data sets will be discussed along with methodological approaches and lessons learned that can be used in future epidemiological research despite declining investments in dedicated cohort studies.
