Summary of Yakima Particulate Matter (PM-10) Limited Maintenance Plan

Yakima, Washington, was designated nonattainment for PM10 and classified as moderate upon enactment of the Clean Air Act Amendments in 1990.

EPA approved the attainment plan on February 2, 1998 (63 FR 5269 (PDF)(4 pp, 127 K, About PDF)).

On June 15, 2004, the State of Washington submitted a limited maintance plan and request for redesignation to attainment for the Yakima PM10 Nonattainment Area. EPA approved the limited maintenance plan on February 8, 2005 (70 FR 6591 (PDF)(3 pp, 148 K)).
