Freight Matters Webinar: SmartWay Freight Matters! Creating Sustainability at Airports

Air freight is the fastest growing mode in goods movement.  Worldwide, aviation accounts for about two percent of global greenhouse gas emissions, with emissions expected to grow at about three to four percent per year.  Under the leadership of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the air carrier industry has adopted measures intended reduce aircraft emissions to 2005 levels by 2050.  Airports have also stepped up, some working through the Airport Council International’s (ACI) Carbon Accreditation Program, to reduce emissions through such measures as decarbonizing ground transportation and buildings and reducing emissions from ground operations.  Join us as we hear from sustainability managers at four major airports on their challenges and achievements in greening operations at their respective airports.

This Webinar is for: individuals, companies, logistics providers, multimodal carriers, airport managers and local governments interested in advancing sustainability at airports.
