This presentation provides an overview and step-by-step instructions for the Statistical Module of the AVoided Emissions and geneRation Tool (AVERT), a free tool with a simple user interface designed to evaluate county-level emissions changes at electric power plants that result from energy policies and programs such as energy efficiency and renewable energy. This tool processes raw CAMD data to determine behavioral characteristics of fossil-fired EGU, returns expected generation and emissions behavior, and allows users to alter EGU characteristics, retire and add EGU with Future Year Template.
