This document is 'Chapter 4.2: Energy Efficiency Programs' of the Energy and Environment Guide to Action. States have found that well-designed and administered energy efficiency programs increase public and private sector investments in cost-effective energy efficiency, resulting in reduced energy costs for electricity customers, emission reductions, and enhanced reliability.
This chapter provides recommendations on designing, funding, and implementing effective energy efficiency programs. State success stories are included for reference.
