Fact Sheet: National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants: Plywood and Composite Wood Products Residual Risk and Technology Review

EPA has evaluated the risks remaining after fully implementing the 2004 National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants for the Plywood and Composite Wood Products source category and determined that risks are acceptable. In addition, the agency identified no developments in practices, processes or control technologies that would further reduce emissions of air toxics from the emission units regulated under the PCWP NESHAP. EPA is proposing no significant changes to the original rule for this source category and has determined the standards continue to provide an ample margin of safety to public health and the environment.
