Leather Finishing Operations: Risk and Technology Review Amendments

Leather Finishing Operations produce a variety of products, including automotive and furniture leather as well as material for clothing, apparel and footwear. Risks from this source category are acceptable and EPA has identified no developments in practices, processes or control technologies that would further reduce emissions of hazardous air pollutants. EPA is finalizing minor amendments to the existing regulation pertaining to emissions during periods of startup, shutdown and malfunction, and amendments to clarify certain rule provisions.
