Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program

TRI Fotonovela (Latino/Hispanic novella-style introduction to TRI)

A fotonovela, also known as a novella, is a small pamphlet that uses photographs combined with small dialogue bubbles to depict a story in Spanish. Fotonovelas date back to the 1940s in Italy and Spain, and later became very popular throughout Latin America, as well as in Latino/Hispanic communities in the United States.

The Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) fotonovela is available in both Spanish and English. It was produced as part of the TRI Community Engagement Initiative, as a result of community input provided by residents of Jurupa Valley, California.
