Accessing CBI through the VDI

What is VDI?

In the past, access to the CBI LAN has been restricted to CBI-only desktop computers directly connected to the CBI LAN and located in physically secure areas called SSAs (Secure Storage Areas).

In 2016, EPA OPPT deployed a secure way of accessing the CBI LAN that does not require a separate CBI computer or being in a Secure Storage Area (SSA). This “virtual desktop” software program is referred to as VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure).
