The Urban Waters Training Workshop was held on October 17 -19, 2018 in Washington, DC. This Workshop addressed major issues communities around the country are facing from social, environmental and economic perspectives. Sessions and presentations revolved around three themes: Going Green, Meaningful State and Community Engagement, and Public-Private Partnerships. Presentations focused on topics such as building parks, green jobs, sustaining effective local partnerships, equitable land development, engaging states, disaster planning and response, green infrastructure, the role of utilities and much more.
