Urban Waters Partnership

Sun Valley Stormwater Options

Beginning in 2010, the City and County of Denver (CCoD) began an area‐wide planning effort to improve conditions along the South Platte River corridor in Denver, Colorado and revitalize brownfield sites in the area to enhance public health and community value. The Sun Valley neighborhood was identified as a priority study area for redevelopment as it has a significant number of residents living below the poverty line, is directly adjacent to the South Platte River, and is near historical industrial uses that have left contaminants in the area.
