EPA developed the Responsible Party Search Guide for the Underground Storage Tank Program to assist staff with conducting responsible party (RP) searches. The objective of an RP search is to find the owner or operator responsible for the UST system. The guide provides reference materials and a step-by-step description of how to conduct an RP search.
