Regulatory Requirements for Engine Manufacturers to Participate in the Transition Program for Equipment Manufacturers (TPEM)

Applicable regulations:

40 CFR Part 1039.625(j)
40 CFR Part 1039.250(a)(2)

Engine manufacturers must:

Provide TPEM engines only after receiving written assurance from a participating equipment manufacturer;
Ensure that TPEM engines meet certain emissions requirements; and
Submit annual reports and keep records.
