Public Hearings on Cruise Ship Discharges

Summary

As part of its effort to gather information on cruise ship discharges and waste management practices, the EPA, together with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) and other Federal agencies, solicited public input from industry officials, government agencies, environmental groups and concerned citizens. Three regional public information hearings were held in Los Angeles, CA, Juneau, AK and Miami, FL. After brief presentations by the EPA, the USCG and state environmental agencies, public testimony was heard.
