Learn from State Water Emergency Response Exercises

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in partnership with several state drinking water and wastewater programs, conducts water sector-focused emergency response tabletop exercises (TTXs). The goal is to raise awareness of the importance of water and wastewater services and the need for coordinated planning within a state. This fact sheet highlights lessons learned from exercises held in 2009, 2010, and 2011.

If you are interested in conducting a Water Emergency State Exercise in your state, please contact us at WSD-Outreach@epa.gov.
