National Water Reuse Action Plan: Online Platform

This online platform contains proposed, active, and completed actions from the National Water Reuse Action Plan: Collaborative Implementation (Version 1) that seek to advance the consideration of water reuse to ensure improve the security, sustainability, and resilience of our nation’s water resources. It aims to help interested parties identify opportunities to join in collective action and contribute their expertise to the effort. EPA invites the contributions of both new and current partners to continue to expand the content and ambitions contained within this Action Plan.

These routine action-specific updates convey progress, including completion of implementation milestones, new entities collaborating on actions, and links to relevant action outputs.

The WRAP Online Platform also reflects the addition of new proposed actions that are introduced as frequently as once a quarter. Through February 5, 2021, feedback on these proposed actions was collected through waterreuse@epa.gov. For undeveloped actions that were formerly housed in the table below, please see their new home on the Undeveloped WRAP Actions and Ideas page.

National Water Reuse Action Plan: Online Platform

The release of the National Water Reuse Action Plan: Collaborative Implementation (Version 1) includes the launch of this online platform. This repository houses the full spectrum of actions profiled in the WRAP, in addition to actions introduced in the Draft National Water Reuse Action Plan. The Online Platform communicates the progress toward the implementation of those actions that enhance water reuse consideration within the scope of the WRAP. It also aims to help interested parties identify opportunities to join in collective action and contribute their expertise to the effort.

By interacting with the table below, users are able access information about actions and their status. Available information comprises the following:

  • Action attributes (title, background, opportunities to be gained)
  • Organizations/people (leaders, partners, interested collaborators)
  • Implementation information (including individual milestones)
  • Outputs and references

Using the search box in the top-right corner, users can filter by keywords. In addition, users can sort by individual column headings. In some cases, actions contained within this platform may not be as fully developed as others. EPA invites the contributions of both new and current partners to continue to expand the content and ambitions contained within this Action Plan.

Through communication with action leaders, the information presented below will be updated routinely (e.g., quarterly) to maintain a relatively current reflection of each action’s implementation. These routine action-specific updates will convey progress, including progress on implementation milestones. Updates will incorporate:

  • New implementation milestones for developed actions.
  • New entities collaborating on implementation of actions.
  • Links to relevant action outputs.
  • Other expanded information for existing action implementation plans.
  • Action implementation plans for newly developed actions.
