Commercial pre-rinse spray valves (PRSVs) are used in commercial food service operations to remove food waste from dishes prior to dishwashing. PRSVs can account for nearly one-third of the water used in the commercial kitchen; about 970,000 food service establishments nationwide use approximately 51 billion gallons of water per year.
