Project Description

The Fargo-Moorhead Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project will manage uncontrolled stormwater that threatens the metropolitan area by temporarily storing it on vacant land. The purpose of this project is to manage spring snow-melt stormwater and summer stormwater, to restore the environmental quality of the area by preserving fish passage connectivity in the Red River Basin, and protect nearly 245,000 people from flood events.
