Project Description

The Sewer System Improvements program will include: (1) replacement of interceptors to increase capacity, (2) rehabilitation of sewers, (3) upgrades to three pumping stations, (4) study and implementation of groundwater injection program, and (5) daylighting of Groff's Run. The purpose of the project is to allow the potential elimination of two combined sewer overflows (CSOs) to improve water quality, evaluate, and implement groundwater removal from the sewer system, and provide a conduit for the re-direction of stormwater currently entering the combined sewer system to the daylighted Groff’s Run.
