Project Description
The project will evaluate and expand the existing Western Parkway Flood Protection System to accommodate an increased total pumping capacity of over 1.5 billion gallons per day (MGD). The project will include upgrades to existing components and new installation to increase the station's capacity by 450 MGD. The purpose of the project is to increase the pumping capacity to reliably protect public health and the community’s assets from floods when the Ohio River is at flood stage.
