Project Description

The Enhanced Treatment and Site Upgrade Phase 1 Projects will consist of a combination of projects to be constructed in three phases: 1) aeration basin modifications and the replacement of existing buildings; 2) secondary clarifier construction and new chlorine disinfection and effluent pumping facilities; and 3) existing secondary clarifier retrofitting. The purpose of these projects is to address aging infrastructure, upgrade nutrient removal to address water quality in the San Francisco Bay, and improve infrastructure resiliency to manage wet weather.
