Project Description

The Water Treatment Plant Improvements Project will construct a new grit handling system and additional flocculators and settling basins, expand the existing filter and clearwell building to increase filtration and storage capacity, and add an additional filter backwash decant tank. The purpose of this project is to increase the Weirton Area Water Board's treatment capacity from so that the Board can meet current demand more effectively.
