Water Quality Standards Regulations: Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation

Authority to Administer Standards Program

The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation (CTCR) were granted treatment in a manner similar to a state (TAS) by EPA on May 2, 2018.

EPA approved the CTCR application for TAS for CWA Section 303(c) Water Quality Standards (WQS) and 401 Certification programs for all waters within the boundaries of the Colville Reservation. EPA determined that the CTCR met the requirements of CWA Section 518(e) and 40 C.F.R. § 131.8, and therefore approved the tribe's application.
