Emission Inventory System (EIS) and the Making of the NEI (2017 EIC)

This course features the Emissions Inventory System (EIS) and the NEI development process in two-part course. For the EIS component, the new reports structure, data tagging, quality assurance checks, functionality improvements, dataset and selection viewing at various levels, and streamlined nonpoint survey. 

The NEI component, will cover a wide range of information, including an introduction how to communicate updates and share data on SharePoint, and how to view NEI data and documentation on public websites. A walk-through of a nascent 2017 NEI Plan, highlighting proposed new business rules for data submittals, including QA and selection hierarchy of data from multiple sources. A. deeper dive into details on HAP augmentation and chromium speciation procedures, PM augmentation with supplemental PM2.5 modeling species, and other augmentation datasets.
