Clean Air Markets

Facility Attributes

EPA’s Clean Air Markets Division (CAMD) collects facility attributes and monitoring plan data from electricity generating units (EGUs) as part of the continuously monitored data known as CAMD’s Power Sector Emissions Data. In addition to emissions and operations data, EGUs are required to submit information about the EGU, including combustion technology, fuels, emission control technologies, monitoring systems and methods, and results from quality assurance (QA) tests. CAMD provides a variety of tools, detailed below, to understand and access the facility attributes information in the Power Sector Emissions Data.

Resources

Guide

  • CAMD’s Power Sector Emissions Data Guide: a useful starter guide for those interested in an overview of the data available in CAMD’s Power Sector Emissions data, how the data are collected and quality assured, and how to download the data.

Tools

  • Monitoring Plan Viewer (MPV):  a website to view monitoring plan data and other facility information.
  • Field Audit Checklist Tool (FACT): a Windows desktop application that allows you to view all Power Sector Emissions Data for a single monitoring location (e.g., stack).
    • Field Audit Checklist Tool API (FACT API): a REST API that was created to support the FACT desktop application and intended for those who want to access the data directly from a data tool or programming language.
  • Air Markets Program Data (AMPD): a web-based application that allows you to create custom queries, view reports, and download allowance account, holdings, transaction, and compliance data.
  • Emissions & Generation Resource Integrated Database (eGRID): a database that combines CAMD’s Power Sector Emissions Data and Energy Information Administration data in order to determine annual emissions and emission rates (lbs/MWh) at facilities and various aggregated levels in the U.S.
