    On May 22, the EPA Combined Heat and Power Partnership (CHPP) presented at the Environmental and Energy Study Institute (EESI) briefing: How Combined Heat and Power Saves Money, Reduces Emissions and Improves Energy Security. The briefing discussed how CHP technology can provide critical facilities (e.g. hospitals, wastewater treatment), businesses, institutions, and communities with more resilient and reliable heat and power, while at the same time reducing energy costs and harmful emissions over time. The CHPP presentation focused on EPA and other federal efforts to promote the environmental, economic, and resiliency benefits of CHP.

    IDEA's Annual Campus Energy Conference fosters a collegial peer exchange between industry professionals who build, maintain, operate and optimize district energy systems to meet challenging economic objectives, regulatory requirements and aggressive sustainability goals.

    The EPA CHP Partnership participated in this year's Conference by exhibiting and hosting an Energy Star CHP Awards Ceremony recognizing CHP systems at military bases.
