2002 Memorandum on Designation of Aquatic Resources of National Importance under Clean Water Act Section 404(q)

The 2002 Memorandum on Designation of Aquatic Resources of National Importance (ARNI) under Clean Water Act Section 404(q) highlights relevant portions of the 1992 404(q) Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding elevating decision of specific individual permit cases. Cases that do not meet the ARNI resource threshold may not be elevated under the MOA.
