  • Phase 1 Settlement Agreement (PDF)(19 pp, 2 MB, 04/09/2015)
    The United States and the Navajo Nation entered into a settlement agreement on April 8, 2015 called the Phase 1 Settlement Agreement to investigate 16 priority mines.
  • Phase 2 Settlement Agreement (Including Addendum 1 and 2) (PDF)(55 pp, 16 MB, 7/13/2016- 9/11/2017-2/14/2020)
    The United States and the Navajo Nation entered into the Phase 2 Settlement Agreement on July 13, 2016 to clean up as necessary the 16 priority mines in the Phase 1 settlement, conduct Removal Site Evaluations at 30 abandoned uranium mines, and conduct two water studies at mines. Addendums 1 and 2 include information about the 30 AUMs that will be assessed in the Western, Central, and Northern AUM Regions and the water studies at Claim 28 and Saytah/George Simpson 1 Incline.
