National Estuary Program (NEP)

Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan for Sarasota Bay

This document is an update on progress made in carrying out the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program's Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP). Included in this document are revisions of the CCMP "The Voyage to Paradise Reclaimed," signed in 1995 by the governor of Florida and the administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

The Sarasota Bay Estuary Program is dedicated to restoring the region's most important natural asset: Sarasota Bay.  The program strives to improve water quality, increase habitat, and enhance natural resources of the area for the use and enjoyment of the public.
