AVERT’s Future Year Scenario Template enables you to define a scenario in which you make adjustments to your regional fleet of fossil-fuel EGUs that existed in a specific base year. When you run the scenario through the Statistical Module and use the resulting data package in the Main Module, you can then estimate how your adjustments might affect emissions and displacements if implemented in future years. 

Using the Future Year Scenario Template, you can make three types of adjustments to your regional fossil fleet:

1. Retire existing EGUs
2. Add additional “proxy” EGUs
3. Change emissions rates for existing EGUs to represent pollution-control retrofits
