Primary Zinc Smelters: New Source Performance Standards

Rule Summary

Pursuant to section 111 of the Clean Air Act, the EPA promulgated standards of performance for new and modified sources of primary zinc smelters. The final standards limit emissions of particulate matter from sintering machines to 50 mg/dscm (0.022 gr/dscf). The opacity of the exhaust gases is limited to 20 percent.
