Large Sediment Sites: Tiers 1 & 2

Tier 1 Sites

The Tier 1 site list documents several features of the remedial actions, including selected technologies, volumes or area of managed sediment, types of contaminants, costs, remedial action objectives, cleanup levels, and metrics related to the five-year review.

Tier 2 Sites and CSTAG Site Documents

The following are current or former Tier 2 sites as designated by the Contaminated Sediments Technical Advisory Group (CSTAG). Former sites are those where the record of decision or equivalent has been signed.

As the CSTAG reviews each site, EPA will post links to CSTAG’s site recommendations and the EPA regional office’s responses below. These documents will also become part of the site’s administrative record.

Additional CSTAG sites may be added as EPA adds more sites to the National Priorities List or as additional information becomes available for sites undergoing investigation.
