Border 2020

California-Baja California Regional Workgroup

The California-Baja California Regional Workgroup meets twice a year and leads the development of biennial action plans and supports local task forces.  Local representatives from both sides of the border, as well as from binational organizations such as the North American Development Bank and the International Boundary and Water Commission; community organizations and civil society, academic institutions, tribes and the private sector participate in the workgroup.  The Regional Workgroups are led by representatives from federal, state, local and tribal governments, among them representatives of organizations responsible for the environment, health, natural resources and emergency response from both sides of the border. The public is encouraged to participate.
